Elm Street Elementary School is a Coweta County public elementary school, housing kindergarten through fifth grade, located in Newnan, Georgia, a rapidly growing suburban community thirty miles southwest of Atlanta.

Even as the county grows, ‘Elm Street School,’ as it is known by local residents, maintains the characteristics of a small-town neighborhood school. Located on a quiet street in one of Newnan’s most prestigious residential areas, the school is within walking distance of the Court Square in historic downtown Newnan. A strong sense of community permeates both the neighborhood and the school. Since 1956, residents have viewed the beautifully landscaped campus as a natural complement to their well-maintained neighborhood. The student population mirrors our community’s diverse social and economic spectrum.
