Elm Street Elementary's Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) is excited about the efforts made to support teachers and students each school year!
If you are new to Elm Street, we welcome you. If your child is returning for another year, we welcome you back to school and back to participation in PTO.
The PTO’s purpose is to work together as parents, grandparents, teachers, and other staff to support our students and to allow each one to have a positive experience at Elm Street.
We have a great tradition of parental involvement; we hope to see that tradition continue this year. We will meet our goals of providing learning opportunities and educational materials, as well as helping to fund our art program, through parent volunteers and various fundraisers. We want you to get involved! As the parent of an Elm Street student, you are automatically considered a member of PTO. All you need to do is fill out the membership form and return it to school. It is that simple! The PTO membership fee is $5 and the funds raised go directly back to needs at Elm Street. Be sure to indicate one area or more of interest so that you can get involved. Below you will find a list of PTO Committees and explanations of each. We are looking forward to a great year as we partner with you to achieve successes above and beyond what we would be able to individually.
Southeastern Fundraiser- The proceeds from this fundraiser benefit all PTO functions, including school activities and events through committee work as well as classroom or school needs.
Homecoming Float - Elm Street participates in the Newnan High Homecoming Parade by creating a float and inviting students to ride on or walk alongside as part of the parade.
Fall Festival - This event is an Elm Street tradition. Join us as we enjoy an evening of fun and games with our Elm Street family. No need to cook dinner the night of the Festival... get your pizza and drink orders in early!
Field Day - This annual spring event is a great way to end the school year. Students participate in relays, races, and the tug-o-war, and many more fun-filled outdoor activities.
9 Week Treats - PTO partners with grade levels to provide goodies and treats for Elm Street faculty and staff.
Box Tops Collection - Elm Street collects Box Tops from General Foods’ products. Prizes are offered for the students collecting the most box tops. So, start clipping!
